Jason Cole of YAHOO Sports is reporting that the Miami Dolphins have hired a Third-Party company to chase down a few hundred season ticket holders who currently owe the Miami Dolphins money and have failed to make payments on their season tickets for this upcoming year. These are a group of season ticket holders the organization have not been able to reach for the past 6-8 months. You know, during that whole LOCKOUT thing that took place.
This isn't the first time a sports franchise has gone after its own fan base in such a way. Daniel Snyder of the Washington Redskins actually sued some of his season ticket holders who feel on tough times during the recession a few years back because they wanted to give up their season tickets. He wouldn't let them out of their contracts and took them to court for the money. Keep in mind the Washington Redskins have a waiting list of over 200,000 people wanting to buy season tickets.
