ESPN's Adam Schefter reports via Twitter that Kyle Orton will be the starter for the Denver Broncos this season. There have been reports that Tim Tebow has not been up to snuff while Orton has played heads above him so far in training camp.
So What's left in the cupboard for the Dolphins to pick? Well it's pretty bare right now unless they can somehow convince Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown that something is better than nothing and pry Carson Palmer from him.
Still, the something is better than nothing argument can be made in Orton's case also. No matter how good he is looking in camp, Tebow is the future of the Broncos. If they don't trade him, he will walk away a free agent next year and the Broncos won't get anything in return. And the Dolphins are clearing cap space to "make a move". Part of that was Vernon Carey agreeing to a pay cut, which he obviously did since he was allowed to practice this morning. Armando Salguero reported on his blog this morning that Carey was playing at guard.
What ever this big move is, we should find out in the next day or 2.
