Dolphins Crush Bills For Third Straight Win

After losing their first 7 games of the 2011 season, the Dolphins became only the 3rd team in NFL history to win 3 straight after starting 0-7. All the bounces went the Dolphins way today as they crushed Buffalo 35-8. At the start, Buffalo looked like they were going to make a game of it as they drove 70 yards, but had to settle for a field goal and a 3-0 lead on their first possession of the game. But after that it was all Dolphins.

Miami's first 3 drives resulted in touchdowns and the Dolphins cruised to a 28-6 halftime lead. Miami intercepted Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick twice in the first half and turned both into 7 points. In the 3rd quarter, special teams made a big play when Chris Clemmons blocked a punt that was recovered in the endzone by Lex Hilliard for a touchdown.

After Buffalo's first drive, the Dolphin defense put the clamps on the Bills offense. All the Bills could muster the rest of the way was a 56 yard field goal as time ran out in the first half and a safety. The safety came after the Bills had a first and goal at the Dolphins 2 yard line, but could not punch it in, giving the Dolphins the ball on thier own 1 yard line.

Matt Moore had another good day, going 14 of 20 for 160 yards, 3 touchdowns and more importantly, no turnovers for the Dolphins today. Moore's TD passes went to Charles Clay, Devone Bess and Anthony Fasano.
