Dolphins Face Stiff Competition In Coach Search

The Dolphins are not the only team looking for a new head coach. Coaches given the pink slip today include Tampa Bay's Raheem Morris and St. Louis Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo. The Indianapolis Colts canned GM Bill Polian, so Jim Caldwell can't be far behind. CBS Sports Mike Freeman reports Jeff Fisher will interview for the Rams job. The Rams have a franchise QB in place in Sam Bradford and also have the 2nd pick in the 2012 draft. The Kansas City Chiefs fired Todd Haley earlier this year, but interim head coach Romeo Crennel is expected to get strong consideration for the job. It's also possible Norv Turner gets his walking papers in San Diego and who knows what Jerry Jones will do with Jason Garrett. The Jacksonville Jaguars are also in the hunt after giving Jack Del Rio the boot earlier this season.

  1. Brian Schottienmer interviewing in Jax

    Norv might survive in SD

Fisher's agent,... his son is doing the hiring in St.Louis. That might lead Fisher there.

  2. That Rams job is going to be attractive though. They have a QB in place and a decent defense. They are likely to get a bounty of draft picks for that number 2 pick.

  3. Plus Fisher can hand-pick his own GM in St.Louis
