Matt Flynn won't get franchise tag; Dolphins favorites for his services

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is reporting that Matt Flynn will not get the teams franchise tag. Beat writer Tom Silverstein is reporting the Packers only have $7 million to use towards resigning Scott Wells and Jermichael Finley and if they throw the franchise tag on Flynn it fully guarantees Matt Flynn $14 million meaning they would have to clear near $10 mill in cap space just to franchise Flynn. On the other hand the franchise tag for tight ends is dropping from $7.3 million to $5.5 million making it almost certain that Finley will be given the franchise tag.  It is speculated by many around league that when Flynn hits the open market the Miami Dolphins are the favorites to sign him

  1. Although a lot of people want to connect Peyton to Mia, I've always thought at the end of the day Matt Flynn would end up being the guy. Hopefully it happens.
