Packers WR James Jones on his way to Miami?

Alex Marvez of Fox Sports and SIRIUS/XM NFL Radio was on WQAM with Joe Rose this morning and he is reporting James Jones might be on his way out of Green Bay because of his contract and how much money he makes as well as all the depth the Packers have at WR. If Green Bay decides to move him or cut him the Dolphins will be in play for his services because of his ties to Joe Philbin and Miami's need at wide receiver. Marvez believes Jones could come to Miami and step in and contribute immediately.

  1. He's a slot receiver, kinda like Davonne Bess. I really don't see this happening. The only reason this is a possibility is because he knows Philbin's system.

The fact that the Dolphins worked out Braylon Edwards and now this guy's name is being brought up doesn't say much about the young'ns in camp.
