Dolphins News and Notes

-There is a rumor that the Dolphins are on the verge of signing WR Keenan Davis from Iowa. Davis went undrafted and worked out for the Dolphins on Tuesday according to the Miami Herald.

-Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald is reporting Rishard Matthews has an injured knee and will be out several weeks. If Matthews is unable to go come Week 1 the Dolphins will be forced to make a tough decision; Cut him or Keep him but have him tie up a roster spot.

-Armando Salugero told a local radio station that he is under the belief that Brian Hartline and Mike Wallace were held out of Monday's scrimmage due to minor injuries. Hartline with a strained/pulled calf. No word on what held Wallace out.

-It's odd to see a high priced player who was the #3 overall pick in the draft playing special teams running down kickoffs and punts; but it appears that's one of the ways the Fins plan on using Dion Jordan this year according to the Palm Beach Post. CLICK HERE

-Finsiders host Jesse Agler is replacing Dick Stockton as the Dolphins PLAY-BY PLAY TV voice this season. Stockton told the Dolphins he is too busy with his FOX Baseball work to call the four Dolphins preseason games as he had the past few seasons. Agler is a great up and coming talent and someone who hopefully someday gets a big break in this business.
