Despite reports that Dolphin’s defensive linemen Cameron Wake would miss 2-3 weeks due to his mild ankle sprain, he was a limited participant in Wednesdays practice. Brian Hartline stated that he would be “shocked” if he didn’t play on Monday and some even feel that the estimation of the games he would miss was an exaggeration. His presence will most certainly be needed come Monday night when the team flies to New Orleans to play the undefeated Saints. With Drew Brees under center and Jimmy Graham stretching the field, the Dolphins will need as much help putting pressure as they can get. Without Wake, the team was unable to sack Matt Ryan and struggled to stop the run last week against Atlanta, even though the Dolphins came out victorious due to the elite 4th quarter play of Ryan Tannehill.
