The Miami-Dade commission will have there vote today on the Dolphins subsidy deal. In the deal, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross would complete the $350 million cost for the renovation out of his own pocket and in return the Dolphins would receive $4 million to host the Super Bowl. Ross plans to use a mix of team dollars, NFL money, and a possible Florida subsidy for construction.
UPDATE: The Miami-Dade County Commissioners voted 7-4 in favor of the Sun Life Stadium modernization plan. Construction on the stadium is scheduled to begin later this year.
