Dolphins Free agency

The new league year begins on Tuesday and that means free agency frenzy. This hasn't been a quiet off-season for the Dolphins as they have made several cuts to get more cap room. The Dolphins have released several players including Brandon Gibson, Brian Hartline, Nate Garner, Cortland Finnegan, and Phillip Wheeler. The purge isn't done yet either with several players like Dannel Ellerbee, Randy Starks, Brandon Fields, and Mike Wallace that could be potentially cut. The Dolphins also slapped the transition tag on tight end Charles Clay meaning other teams can offer clay a contract and the Dolphins have the chance to match to it, not only that, but the fins signed Jason Fox to a new deal as insurance to the offensive line. Next I will talk about what I would do for free agency if I was in control.
My free agency plan:
The Dolphins are linked as the favorites to Ndamukong Suh as they could make him the highest paid defensive player in the league and I personally would welcome him with open arms as he will improve the defense that struggled at the end of last year, next after Suh is locked up I would go after another player the Dolphins are linked to and that is Da'norris Searcy and pair him up with Reshad Jones at safety. I would like for the Dolphins to go after guards Clint Boiling or Mike Iupati, buy I think they will cost too much, so I would settle for Justin Ballock on a two year deal after that I would turn to the linebacker position and sign Mason Foster who has ties with Silver fox. Next if the money is right I would sign either Michael Crabtree or Cecil Shorts to a prove it deal to give Tannehill another weapon. Depending on what happens to Clay we might need another tight end and I would sign a guy like Jermaine Gresham to a 1 or 2 year deal if we lose Clay, but honestly I think he stays. That is all I would do in free agency and allow us to go into the draft needing a corner for sure and allow us to draft some depth at wide reciever, linebacker, offensive line, and running back. Also during this off season I would work on contract extensions with Mike Pouncey and Ryan Tannehill.
