The Miami Dolphins have officially landed a stable QB for the future as Ryan Tannehill has signed an extension with the Dolphins through 2020 season. In his three year career, Tannehill has started 48 games (dependable). He has a 62% completion percentage in his career (1029/1662), 11,252 yards (3,750/yr), 63 TDs. His career QB ratings is 84. The Dolphins have seen plenty of improvement in his first three seasons, particularly last year when he put up career highs in TDs, Comp % and yards. He also showed flashes of running the ball well, with tying an NFL record with four runs of 20 or more in four consecutive games. Granted he is 23-25 as a starter, not all the losses are on him. Contract details will follow, but Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald states it's around $15 million per year.
UPDATE: Tannehill's extension is for 4 years, $96 million and around $25 million fully guaranteed per multiple reports.
