In Case You Missed It

In case you missed it, here are some news and notes from this past week.

-Branden Albert is Doubtful to play this week. Leaving Jason Fox to start at LT vs one of the top defensive lines in the league and a team that loves to blitz. Could be a very ugly game for the Dolphins offensive line.

-Cam Wake practiced Thursday and should play Sunday. How effective he will be is a totally different question.

-Lamar Miller and Jordan Cameron will be game-time decisions to play. If Miller can't go I expect Miami won't have much of a running game this week as the o-line is poor and the starting RB out. If Cameron can't play that does limit what Miami can do on offense especially in the middle of the field.

- Opponents have dropped back to pass 61 straight times without being sacked by the Dolphins defensive line. Makes the Suh signing look really bad. This wasn't supposed to be the case. And it isn't like the Fins have played Farve and Montana here. It was Cousins and Bortles.

-At 1-1 and having two games before the Bye week don't think Joe Philbin isn't feeling the heat. Two bad loses here to the Bills and Jets leading into the Bye and being 1-3 you could very well see a coaching change. Philbin could easily be out and the Fins would promote an assistant to just finish up the season coaching this team. At 1-3 the season would be over and with the Philbin not making the playoffs he would be fired at seasons end anyway, don't be shocked to see Ross cut ties now. Is there anything to gain by doing that then, not really but he must do something to appease the fan base. And firing the guy the vast majority of fans don't like anymore would do that. Plus it would allow him to open up his coaching search very early and send feelers out to out of work coaches or college coaches he may be interested in. Just something to keep an eye on.
